We had previously seen a photo of the device, and now thanks to a couple of tweets by Ben Geskin, more photos and details about the upcoming handset have been leaked where it is shown next to the Pixel 3. According to Geskin, the Lite is a “simplified” version of the Pixel 3, where it will use plastic in its build along with a less powerful chipset.
Instead of being powered by the Snapdragon 845 which is what the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL uses, the Pixel 3 Lite could instead be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670. It will also be rumored to pack 4GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage without a memory card slot, although the upside is that despite its processor being less powerful, it is expected to share the same camera as the Pixel 3, which presumably means all the features including Night Sight will be part of it.

No word on when the handset is expected to be launched, but given that we’re nearing the end of the year, either Google launches it soon or we can expect it in early 2019, although launching it next year does bring up some questions regarding its relevance.
