It turns out that Samsung plans on doing something similar as well to its Galaxy S10 which is scheduled for a launch in 2019. According to a report from ET News, Samsung is said to be working on an AI co-processor for the Galaxy S10 that could give it computational abilities for its photography.
Now when it comes to photography, Samsung is known to be one of the smartphone companies who is better at it, so we imagine that the use of an AI co-processor should help make the end product even better. As it stands companies such as Google and Apple have shown what kind of photos can be achieved on smartphones, even with a single-camera setup, so we imagine that this should be greatly improved upon with a dual or even triple camera setup.
Take it with a grain of salt for now, but like we said, given that we’re seeing many companies stepping up their photography game these days, we wouldn’t be surprised if Samsung was doing the same.
