The good news is that according to CNET, Amazon has since launched what they are calling “Amazon Day”. This is a new delivery option for Prime members in the US where according to Amazon, this allows customers to pick a specific day of the week for their shipments to arrive. This means that if you know that you’ll be home on a Tuesday, you can pick that day and the delivery should arrive on that day itself.
This means that users can also collate all their purchases made during that week into a single day of shipping, which in turn helps to reduce the amount of boxes/packaging needed since they’ll be combined, and also lets you schedule deliveries to suit your time, like if you have certain days during the week that you’ll know you or someone else will be at home.
In a statement made to CNET, Amazon spokeswoman Kristen Kish said, “We’re excited to be testing a new service aimed at making the delivery experience more convenient for customers.” Note that this new delivery option is still in the invite-only phase so not all Prime customers will see it yet, also the regular one-day, two-day, or no-rush shipping options will still be available in addition to Amazon Day.
