If you’ve been meaning to check out Activision and Bungie’s Destiny 2, you might want to fire up Blizzard’s Battle.net launcher and sign up for an account if you haven’t done so already. This is because to celebrate Destiny 2 turning one-year old on the PC, they have decided to do a giveaway of the game which you can claim through the Battle.net launcher.
Note that this giveaway is only valid from the 2nd of November until the 18th of November, so even if you’re not sure you plan to play the game anytime soon, you should claim it in case you change your mind later. Those who have already purchased the game, they will be given an exclusive in-game emblem.
However we should point out that this is the base version of Destiny 2, and that if you want to get the additional expansions such as Forsaken, you’ll have to pay for it. Interestingly this is a similar strategy that Blizzard (also owned by Activision) is currently using for World of Warcraft, where the base game and older expansions are free, but players will still need to pay to get the latest expansion along with a paid subscription to the game.
In the meantime we have heard that Destiny 3 is already in the works, but if you’d still like to check out Destiny 2, now seems like a good time to do so.
