This is according to the head of product for Pocophone Jai Mani who responded to a question on Twitter, where a user asked if the company could at the very least guarantee two Android version updates. According to Mani’s response, he claims that the company will be doing Android 9.0 Pie and Android Q.
He also mentions “at least”, which seems to suggest that the company might even go further, although generally speaking most of the time for Android updates, most companies tend to do two versions. Android Q is currently slated for a release in 2019, assuming Google keeps to their annual release schedule, but unfortunately apart from confirming that the phone will receive at least two Android versions, Mani does not mention when the updates will be released, so we guess we’ll just have to wait for it, but it’s still good news anyway.
