Now for those who browse Twitter often, you might be interested to learn that Twitter has announced that they will be introducing a data saver feature to its iOS app. According to Twitter, they claim that when enabled “videos won’t autoplay and lower-quality images load. This automatically reduces your data usage for all Twitter accounts on this device.”
The company says, “We’re releasing some exciting new changes including the option under your ‘Data usage’ settings to use less data while you browse, a simpler way to manage who’s in your group messages, improvements to how people interact with polls using VoiceOver, and better labels for certain types of ads.”
We’re not how data intensive an app like Twitter can be, but for those who might be using limited data plans or who are trying to cut back on data consumption as much as possible, this feature could come in handy. The update should already be live so head on over to the App Store for the download.
