Basically Tidal will be launching an app for Samsung smart TVs that will allow users to stream music via its platform, but in case listening to music through your TV isn’t really your jam, not to worry as the app will also provide video playlists where users can watch music videos, live performances, documentaries, and more.

That being said, Tidal isn’t the first company to team up with Samsung for music. Some of you might recall that back in August, Spotify and Samsung announced their own partnership which would see Spotify’s music services integrate into a variety of Samsung devices. Will this new partnership with Samsung help Tidal increase the number of subscribers? It remains to be seen, but being available across more platforms probably couldn’t hurt.
Needless to say that an active subscription to Tidal will be required for users to take advantage of the streaming service, but Tidal is offering users a 30 day free trial before they decide whether or not they want to pay for it.
