There have been rumors that suggested that Samsung could have a smartphone with a quad camera setup in the works known as the Galaxy A9. In fact just earlier today a leak revealed the handset in question, where it showed what the four different cameras on the phone were about in terms of functionality.
For those wondering if it is true, it is because Samsung has since officially announced the Galaxy A9. As per the rumors, the phone does indeed pack four cameras on the back. According to Samsung, this includes a 2x optical zoom camera, an ultra wide lens, a depth lens which Samsung says will let users adjust the photo’s depth of field, and the main lens which will feature a 24MP sensor and also sport superior low light performance.
Other features include a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen, an octa-core processor, support for 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and also support for microSD cards for memory expansion. Samsung is also boasting a 3,800mAh battery that can apparently give “all day performance”.
The phone will also come with Android 8.0 Oreo preinstalled which is actually a bit of a pity since Android Pie has already been released. As for pricing and availability, Samsung did not mention how much the phone will cost but did note that it will be available in “selected markets” this coming November.
