Samsung first launched the Chromebook Plus last year and came out with a refreshed version a couple of months back. It’s now adding another model for the lineup. It’s aimed at customers who are looking to remain connected on the go with this device. The Chromebook Plus can now be purchased with LTE support.
It seems that Samsung hasn’t changed much else about this device. It’s quite similar to the previous Chromebook Plus V2 as it has the same Intel Celeron 3965Y processor with 4GB of RAM, 1080p 12.2 inch display, 32GB storage, and 39Wh battery.
This device is mainly intended to appease road warriors who are looking to work on the go and would like their machine to have integrated 4G capability. The Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 with LTE will thus be a compelling option for them.
The company has only confirmed that this model has LTE support but hasn’t revealed information about carrier compatibility and LTE bands. It will be available for purchase from Verizon which does confirm that it supports at least one major carrier in the country.
Compared to the existing model, the Chromebook Plus V2 with LTE is going to be slightly more expensive. It’s priced at $599 and will be available for purchase starting November 2nd.
