Companies such as Samsung tend to pay celebrities from time to time to endorse their products. However more often than not we’ve seen slipups from various celebrities where they seem to be promoting a particular handset/brand on their social media pages, only to reveal that they were using Apple’s iPhone to do the promotions all along.

Now it looks like Samsung might have had enough of this because according to a report from the Mirror UK, Russian celebrity Ksenia Sobchak, who is also a journalist, politician, and a reality TV show host, could be facing a lawsuit from Samsung where they are seeking £1.25 million in damages for using an iPhone while she was supposed to be promoting Samsung’s phones.

Sobchak was recently caught on camera on a show where she was spotted using the iPhone X. This was despite her attempts at trying to hide it using a piece of paper, but unfortunately it seemed that it wasn’t very well hidden. Part of her contract with Samsung required her to be seen with a Samsung phone whenever she was out in public, and this sighting seems to be in violation of it.

This could possibly be the first time we’re publicly hearing about Samsung taking action against celebrities for such a gaffe. It is possible that the other celebs who slipped up might have gotten in trouble with Samsung as well, but like we said, this is the first time we’re actually hearing about Samsung taking action as a result of the slip up.
