Razer Phone 2 Has Been Certified By Verizon

A couple of days ago there were reports that some Razer Phone 2 owners were having trouble trying to use certain features of their phone on Verizon’s network. It turns out that this might have been due to a certification problem where the handset had not been certified by the carrier yet, so calls and messages sent over LTE had some problems.

However the good news is that according to an announcement by Verizon, the Razer Phone 2 has been officially certified by the carrier. This means that activating and using the phone on Verizon’s network should no longer pose any issues for users. The fact that there were problems was odd to begin with, as Razer had announced at the launch of the phone that Verizon would support the handset.

However according to reports, it seems that Razer made the announcement under the assumption that the phone would be certified in time before the phone was released, but based on the issues reported by users, that wasn’t the case. In any case this should all be settled by now so if you are a Verizon customer thinking of getting the Razer Phone 2, you should be able to do so without any problems.
