The OnePlus 6T is going to be a smartphone of many firsts for the company. We may have to add another first to that list. According to a new report, the OnePlus 6T is going to be compatible with Verizon. If it’s accurate this would be the first OnePlus device to work on Big Red’s network. All of its previous handsets have only been able to work on T-Mobile and AT&T.

PCMag reports based on sources they have talked to that the OnePlus 6T could be the company’s first smartphone to work on Verizon. Previous reports have also suggested that OnePlus is looking for carrier partnerships for this device so that it’s displayed in countless retail stores and customers can finally purchase a OnePlus device through their carrier. T-Mobile may be the first carrier to offer the OnePlus 6T.

Since Verizon was using the 2G CDMA radio system it couldn’t accept many unlocked phones for many years. It has recently been accepting LTE-only smartphones such as the Asus ZenFone V which doesn’t have CDMA. It’s this claimed that the OnePlus 6T could be an LTE-only device on Verizon. The handset is said to have support for LTE Band 13 which is required for compatibility with Verizon’s network.

Whether or not this is true will only be confirmed on October 30th when the device is officially unveiled.
