Titanfall 2 players will be familiar with “Mixtape matchmaking.” It’s basically a type of playlist preferencing which will now be seen in another beloved title, Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The game’s community manager has confirmed that this feature is being added as it has been frequently requested by the community.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection recently received a substantial update. It was the largest since the game was released in November 2014. It received Xbox One X enhancements for all four titles in addition to the Halo 3: ODST campaign.
343 Industries community director Brian Jarrard has confirmed over Twitter that he has seen a work-in-progress of “a ‘mix tape’ style feature for MCC matchmaking.” He later followed it up with an off-screen shot of the title’s Match Composer screen. He has also provided further information about the various options of this feature.
Those who own Halo: The Master Chief Collection will certainly get good mileage out of this feature as the collection features four different games from the Halos series. Players have been asking for this feature for quite some time now so they will be happy that their requests have been heard. This feature is currently in development for the title so it may be a while before it’s released.
