So much so that Microsoft has decided to discontinue the Apple TV version of the game. In a message left to gamers, it reads, “Effective from Monday, 24 September, the Apple TV version of Minecraft will no longer be updated or supported. We’re grateful to the Apple TV community for their support but we need to reallocate resources to the platforms that our players use the most. Don’t worry though, you can continue to play Minecraft on Apple TV, keep building in your world and your Marketplace purchases (including Minecoins) will continue to be available.”
Basically the game will still be playable for those who have already downloaded it, and will continue being playable and operational, just don’t expect any update or bug fixes or new content. For those who missed out on the download, then we guess you’re out of luck. However like we said the game is available across multiple platforms and devices, so if you really wanted to play it there are still many ways to go about it.
