Apple has recently released an update to iOS 12.0.1. This update seems to address the charging and WiFi issues experienced by some iPhone Xs and Xs Max owners. According to the changelog, iOS 12.0.1 “Fixes an issue where some iPhone XS devices did not immediately charge when connected to a Lightning cable,” and also “Resolves an issue that could cause iPhone XS devices to rejoin a Wi-Fi network at 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz.”
We’re not sure if these fixes are temporary and are meant to tide users over until the iOS 12.1 update that will offer a permanent fix, but either way if you are experiencing any of the issues mentioned above, iOS 12.0.1 is probably an update you’ll want to keep an eye out for. The update will also address some other bugs, such as subtitles not appearing in some video apps, or in instances where Bluetooth can suddenly become unavailable.
