Now for those who were interested in taking part, it has been reported that invites are now making their way to users. Google had initially stated that gamers could start using Project Stream starting on the 5th of October, but it seems that the rollout of the invites took longer than expected, but we suppose better late than never.
It should be noted that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on Google’s Project Stream is only a demo of the game. We can only assume that the idea behind the playable demo is to show off the concept of Project Stream, and perhaps get feedback on how to improve on it. It is unclear what Google’s plans are for the future for the service, but it sounds promising.
Game streaming has been heralded by some as being the future of gaming. There aren’t too many services out there right now, but we have seen how some companies are using it to bring games onto platforms that would have otherwise not supported it due to hardware reasons.
