Google has been working on an Assistant-powered smart display of its own. A recent leak suggested that this device may be called the Google Home Hub. Some images of the device were leaked online as well. It’s unclear when this product will be released but a new leak suggests that it may not be long before it becomes available for purchase.
A photo tweeted by YouTuber John Prosser shows that the leak comes straight from Google itself. The photo has some details about the features of the Home Hub, like how it can be used to control smart home devices.
It even has a Voice Match feature which enables it to recognize different people’s voice commands and answer accordingly. The Home Hub will add a visual element to Assistant and will also be able to surface relevant YouTube videos for users to watch on the Home Hub dashboard.
These details about the Home Hub were also mentioned in the previous leak. The photo claims that the Home Hub is going to be out on October 22nd. The release date is mentioned for the United Kingdom so it’s likely that it may be launched in other markets such as the United States around the same time as well.
