Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has a new flagship smartphone in the pipeline called the Honor Magic 2 which will be unveiled later this month. A certification for the device has revealed some of the details that have been previously rumored. They include a triple-camera system at the back and the possibility that this device will ship with Android 9 Pie, the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, out of the box.

The Honor Magic 2 has been spotted at TENAA, China’s prime certification agency, where some of its details have been revealed. The device will have a 6.39 inch OLED bezel-less display with a 2340×1080 pixel resolution.

Since it doesn’t have a notch, a sliding mechanism will house the 16 megapixel front camera with additional sensors for 3D facial recognition. There will be a 16 + 24 + 16 megapixel triple-camera system at the back. The Honor Magic 2 will be powered by Huawei’s flagship Kirin 980 processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 3,400mAh battery is going to keep the lights on while Android 9 Pie will be powering the device.

Honor Magic 2 is going to be unveiled on October 31st. The company is also expected to launch a new Honor Watch alongside its flagship smartphone. Pricing and availability information for this device has not yet surfaced.
