ASUS unveiled its ROG gaming smartphone at Computex 2018 but the company is yet to release the handset in other markets across the globe. A teaser posted on the official ASUS Twitter account suggests that the ROG Phone U.S. launch could take place later this month. No further information has been provided about this by the company so far.

As per the teaser, the ASUS ROG Phone is going to be unveiled at an event in New York City on October 18th. It doesn’t mention any pricing details but it’s likely going to fetch a premium as it’s a high-end device.

The ROG Phone will most likely be sold unlocked and off-contract so carrier subsidies will be off the table as well. This flagship device will come with the Snapdragon 845 processor that’s clocked slightly higher than the normal variant for just that extra bit of performance.

Other specs of this device include a 90Hz refresh rate 6 inch display in addition to up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.1 storage. Those who have been looking forward to this device will be keeping a close eye on the pricing details and that’s what will really matter if ASUS wants this device to succeed in the United States.
