While most Android users with compatible devices are looking forward to receiving the Android Pie update, there are some who have yet to get Oreo. This has been the case for LG V20 owners on Verizon who are just now receiving the Android 8 Oreo update. Verizon is finally rolling out the update for this handset on its network.
Verizon is quite late to the party as AT&T and Sprint have already released the Android Oreo update for the LG V20. Nevertheless, the country’s largest mobile carrier is finally bringing Oreo to LG V20 owners on its network.
The carrier is rolling out software version VS99520a for the LG V20. It brings all of the features that are part and parcel of the Oreo update. There are user interface improvements, new features, and overall enhancements that will improve the user experience for those who own LG’s last flagship smartphone with a removable battery.
Verizon has released this update over the air for the LG V20. Most users should have received it by now. Those who haven’t need not worry as it’s only going to be a matter of time before the update goes live in all regions and becomes available for download.
