Samsung launched its Windows-based Galaxy Book 2-in-1 in February last year and it went up for sale in the United States a few months later. It has been over a year since this product was announced so it’s due for an update. There has been some circumstantial evidence to suggest that a new one is in the pipeline and it now appears that the successor will indeed be out soon. It may be called the Galaxy Book 2 but Samsung is yet to comment on the moniker.
The original Galaxy Book was available in both 10 and 12 inch sizes. It remains to be seen if the new model is going to be offered in two different sizes as well. It packed a high quality display and the 12 inch model could be configured with 7th gen Core i5 processors from Intel. The 10 inch was only good for light productivity as it came with an Intel Core m processor.
It’s unclear what the specs of the updated model will be but one can reasonably expect generational improvements in the technology. There’s no evidence as yet to suggest that the Galaxy Book will be receiving a major update.
The new model has now received its requisite certification in South Korea. The listing mentions the availability of an LTE model as well. Samsung hasn’t said as yet when it’s planning to launch this product.
