Alleged Razer Phone 2 Benchmarks Reveal Minor Upgrades

It has been confirmed that the Razer Phone 2 is in development, but the question is what can we expect from the sequel? Assuming recently spotted benchmarks are accurate, in terms of the hardware maybe it isn’t as significant of an upgrade as we thought, which is a bit unfortunate.

The benchmarks reveal that the phone will be packing 8GB of RAM and a quad-core processor. Given that last year’s Razer Phone also had 8GB of RAM, we can only assume that one of the main changes here would be the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, which while it is not a slouch is definitely not as exciting of an upgrade as we would have liked.

That being said, the benchmark only paints part of the picture and for all we know, the phone could be sporting a new design, a larger display, better cameras, a better security system, and so on. Presumably Razer will continue to use a 120Hz display which is what they used for its predecessor which gave the screen such a pleasant and buttery smooth experience.

No word on when we will be seeing the Razer Phone 2, but it will most likely be announced by the end of the year.
