It’s Possible To Pause YouTube TV Membership Now

There aren’t many subscription services out there that allow you to pause your membership. You can either continue to pay for them or just outright cancel them. There’s no middle ground for many of the services. However, YouTube TV is going to do things a bit differently from now on. It’s allowing members to pause their YouTube TV membership as and when required.

The official support documents for YouTube’s online TV streaming service confirmed that it’s now possible to pause a membership in the event that the user doesn’t want to completely cancel it. This will let them return to the service when they want without having to sign up for it once again.

Users will be allowed to pause their membership for as little as four weeks and up to six months. This will let members take a break from the service while their recordings continue to be saved. However, despite this option, the nine month expiration date for all recordings still applies.

Once users make their mind to return to the service, the date that they resume their service from will then become their new monthly billing date. The feature to pause the membership is available in the YouTube TV membership settings. The particular option is present in the “Deactivate membership” menu.
