New Razer Phone 2 Benchmarks ‘Confirm’ Snapdragon 845

Razer is expected to launch the Razer Phone 2 in the coming months. A recent sighting on Geekbench revealed that the phone would be getting some minor upgrades, and now a listing on AnTuTU has more or less confirmed what we might be able to expect from the company’s second-gen gaming handset.

The Razer Phone 2, based on the AnTuTu listing, appears to be packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, which we guess is to be expected from smartphones in this day and age. It also appears to be packing 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of onboard storage. There will also be a display resolution of 2560×1440, but no mention of how big the actual display is.

It also seems to be running on Android 8.1 Oreo, which is a pity for those who were hoping that it might launch with Android Pie. There is still a chance that it could, but as far as the benchmarks are concerned, it is still running the previous Android version. Like we said previously, the differences between the Razer Phone and its successor appear to be minimal.

However we have heard that there could be differences in its design, where it could actually be using the company’s Chroma LED lighting system, but whether or not this will sync with games on the PC and other Razer peripherals remains to be seen.
