For those who are on the fence about the new iPhones, you might want to take note that the new iPhones are more than just a new chipset and a larger display, but they also boast faster WiFi and LTE connections. This is according to various tests conducted by different publications in which they all seem to confirm that the new iPhones do seem to offer up faster data speeds.
This is thanks to Apple including three new radio technologies into its iPhones: 4×4 MIMO, QAM and LAA. It had previously been reported that initial tests did find that the iPhone Xs does support faster speeds, and these new tests all but confirms it. Of course your mileage may vary depending on other factors such as congestion on the network, your internet package, coverage, and so on, but on paper the new radio technologies should facilitate faster data speeds.
Oddly enough despite these new radio technologies being featured in the new iPhones, there have been reports of how there are some iPhone Xs and Xs Max owners who are reporting poor reception over cellular and WiFi.
