Fitness trackers are great if you’re looking for a way to track your fitness activities. They can be used by people of all ages, although admittedly giving an Apple Watch to a kid might not be the best idea as they might damage it. However if you’d still like to equip your child with a fitness tracker, Garmin might have something for you.
The company has recently taken the wraps off a Spider-Man themed fitness tracker in the form of the Vivofit Jr. 2. This isn’t the first time that Garmin has partnered up with other companies to released themed fitness trackers. Prior to this, Garmin had released Star Wars and Disney Princess themed fitness trackers, so the Spider-Man version doesn’t exactly come as a surprise.
Also given the massive success of Spider-Man on the PS4, we reckon it’s actually pretty good timing. As for the features of the tracker, it pretty much does what all trackers does, which lets its wearer track things like steps, sleep, and there will also be challenges for kids to complete them, such as chores, all of which can be customized by parents via its accompanying smartphone app. Challenges that are completed are then rewarded with virtual coins.
In terms of pricing, the Vivofit Jr. 2 will be priced at $80 which makes it a pretty affordable options for parents who want to equip their kids with fitness trackers.
