This robot vacuum was recently unveiled at the company’s event in Beijing and represents the successor to Dyson’s previous robot that was launched several years ago. Naturally the 360 Heurist will feature upgrades and improvements over its predecessor, one of which is the use of a new quad-core 1.4GHz processor which apparently makes it 20 times faster than the previous model.
Dyson claims that the improvements made to the processor allow it to pick up 60% more details about the environment, which in turn reduces the chances of it bumping into objects by as much as 50%. There will also be a new LED ring around the camera of the vacuum which will be used to help the robot find its way in darker places.
As for the cleaning part of the robot, Dyson has improved on its suction power by 20%, and also a stiffer nylon bristle where the count of its bristles jumps from 5,468 to 6,947. There will also be an accompany mobile app that lets users monitor the robot, and with support for Alexa, users will also be able to control it using their voice. Unfortunately as is usually the case with Dyson products, the 360 Heurist will not come cheap at around $800. The 360 Heurist will be launching in China for now and there is no word on whether or not it will eventually find its way to other markets.
