This year seems to be the year of Marvel TV shows because not only did we get second seasons for Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, but earlier last month it was also confirmed that the third season for Netflix’s Daredevil would be released this year as well, essentially making this the year of The Defenders.
For those who are excited to see the third season Daredevil, you might be interested to learn that Netflix has since released a teaser trailer for the upcoming season. For those unfamiliar with what has happened so far, at the end of The Defenders miniseries, it looked like Matt Murdock/Daredevil died in an explosion, only to show up later very badly injured.
Presumably this is where the third season will be picking up from, although what exactly we can expect from the third season remains to be seen. So far Daredevil is the only Marvel series on Netflix to have launched a third season, although we expect that the other series will be getting picked up as well.
There is still no date on when the third season will be released, but if you have been enjoying the series so far, then you might want to keep an eye out for it.
