This is according to notable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who in a note to investors obtained by MacRumors, has suggested some pretty huge changes that are coming to the Apple Watch. This will come in the form of a built-in ECG/EKG in the watch itself, thus allowing users more detailed/accurate readings for heart-related functions. It is also rumored to sport a ceramic back.
He also seems to reaffirm the rumors that the Apple Watch Series 4 will have narrower bezels, which like we said is in line with earlier rumors that also indicated that the device might have a slightly larger display and higher resolution compared to previous Apple Watch models. So far many have lauded the Apple Watch for its health benefits and having built-in ECG/EKG functionality will no doubt boost its appeal for the health-conscious, especially those who might have existing heart problems.
Apple is expected to unveil the new Apple Watch at their event on the 12th of September alongside their new iPhones, so check back with us then then if you’d like all the details.
