This appears to be a server-side update and what it seems to have done is it has tidied up the UI quite a bit. This involves the reorganization of artist collections on Apple Music, where now releases are being organized in a more “logical” way. Basically studio albums will have its own section and will be shown first, and other types of releases such as singles, EPs, live albums, and more will be separated.
As AppleInsider points out, previously Apple would mix singles in with albums, which means that having to comb through multiple layers within Apple Music in order to find what you need. Hopefully these changes are for the better but you’ll have to use it to find out for yourself. Apple had also previously launched Top 100 charts to help users find music that is trending.
That being said while the UI of Apple Music has been criticized, its success is hard to ignore. Last we heard, Apple Music had apparently overtaken Spotify in the US which is impressive for a service that has been around for a shorter time.
