45-Year Old Arrested For Threatening An 11-Year Old In Fortnite

Online video games sometimes seem to bring out the worst in people, where gamers end up saying things to each other that no one in their right mind would in real-life and face to face. Unfortunately for a certain 45-year old Michael Aliperti, he might have taken things too far when he threatened to kill an 11-year old kid while playing Fortnite.

According to law enforcement, Aliperti was arrested at 1AM when police received reports that he had sent threatening voice and text messages to the boy who won the match of Fortnite against him. A report from NBC also revealed the message that Aliperti sent to the child in which he wrote, “I am going to find you with a gun. You dead. I will come to your house tonight and f*** your world up.”

Additional threats revealed that Aliperti had also stated his plans to carry out the killing at the child’s school, which resulted in local police treating it as a school shooting threat. Aliperti is now being held on a $2,500 bond and has been charged with second-degree aggravated harassment and acting in a manner to injure a child.

Aliperti’s actions are unfortunately not an uncommon one in the gaming scene. We have seen and heard multiple instances in the past of gamers harassing other players, to the point of swatting each other, with the most recent case actually resulting in an innocent life being taken.
