Right now the only game that they are streaming is The International’s DotA 2, but if you’re a fan and wouldn’t mind taking Valve’s new streaming platform for a test drive, you can head on over to its website and check it out. We’re not sure if the stream is live again on purpose or if it is another accident, but like we said given how everyone now knows about the company’s plans, we suppose keeping it a secret isn’t doing anyone any good.
In fact having more users use Steam TV could be a good way for Valve to test its platform on a larger scale. It is unclear what else Valve plans on doing with it, but we’re not surprised that they are getting into streaming, especially when you consider that streaming DotA 2 is very popular, especially on Twitch, so for Valve to try and keep it within the Steam family make sense.
No word on when Valve plans on making an official launch and announcement, but if you have some time to spare it could be worth checking out.
