Panasonic Lumix LX100 II Digital Camera Announced

Mirrorless cameras often represent a happy middle between a DSLR and a compact camera, where users want the portability of a compact with the performance of a DSLR. However if you’d rather not deal with interchangeable lenses and what not, not to worry as Panasonic might have a solution for you.

The company has recently taken the wraps off their latest compact camera in the form of the Lumix LX100 II, the successor to the LX100 which was actually announced back in 2014, so safe to say that a refresh was a long time coming. The camera will pack a 21.77MP Micro Four Thirds sensor and will feature a 24-75mm f/1.7-2.8 lens with a nine-blade aperture.

There will also be a 3-inch touchscreen display, a redesigned grip, and Bluetooth connectivity which will allow photographers to transfer photos to their phones on the go. In terms of pricing, the LX100 II does not come cheap at $1,000. Now this is no doubt an expensive compact camera, but given its features, it seems that this camera is marketed at enthusiasts and professionals who want a reliable and decent compact that they can use as a secondary camera or one that they can take on holiday.
