At E3 2018 a few months ago, the folks at Team17 announced that a new Overcooked game is in the works in the form of Overcooked 2. For those who have played through the first version of the game, you’ll be pleased to learn that Overcooked 2 is now live and available for purchase and download.
For those unfamiliar, Overcooked is a game about, well, cooking. It will put players into a kitchen scenario complete with obstacles where players will need to try and complete and serve out as many dishes as possible. The core concept of the game will be maintained in Overcooked 2, but there will be changes (obviously) in the form of new challenges, mechanics, levels, and more.
One of the new mechanics that will be introduced in the game comes in the form of throwing, where players can now toss items to other players or directly into the pot or pan. There will also be moving walkways, portals, and dynamic levels as the levels will change around the players as they play.
There will also be brand new chefs for players to choose from, along with a bunch of new recipes that players can look forward to. Overcooked 2 will be playable on the PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and the Xbox One.
