The other day it was reported that NVIDIA was gearing up to launch new GPUs, and sure enough for those who were excited at the prospect, NVIDIA has officially announced their latest RTX GPUs. These GPUs come in the form of the NVIDIA GeForce RTS 2070, 2080., and the 2080 Ti.
These are based on NVIDIA’s Turing architecture. With the RTX 2070, NVIDIA is claiming that the GPU is capable of ray tracing at 6 GigaRays per second, 45T RTX-OPS performance, and will be accompanied by 8GB of VRAM. The RTX 2080 will offer up better ray tracing at 8 GigaRays per second, and a performance of 60T RTX-OPS. It will also be packing 8GB of VRAM.
As for the more expensive RTX 2080 Ti, it will be the best performer of the bunch at 10 GigaRays per second, 78T RTX-OPS, and will packing a whopping 11GB of VRAM. In terms of pricing, the RTX 2070 will be priced starting at $499 ($599 Founders Edition); the RTX 2080 at $699 ($799 Founders Edition); and the RTX 2080 Ti at $999 ($1,199 Founders Edition).
The RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti GPUs will be available on the 20th of September, while the RTX 2070 will only be available in October. All GPUs will also be available across NVIDIA’s partners which includes ASUS, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, Innovision 3D, MSI, Palit, PNY and Zotac.
