This is according to Netflix’s Help Center page (via AndroidPIT) in which under the sections HD and HDR, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has been listed. We suppose it was safe to assume that a high-end flagship like the Note 9 would support it, but it’s good to know that it has been made official via the listing.
The list of devices is quite long so if you own an Android phone or tablet and want to know if it’s supported, you can take a look yourself. In the meantime Netflix’s HD and HDR aren’t the only things the Note 9 supports. During Samsung’s presentation, the company mentioned how it was a YouTube Signature Device.
This is a new initiative by YouTube in which they basically identify and list phones that supposedly offer up by the best YouTube streaming experience, although admittedly this seems to be more about marketing than anything.
