Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was one of the titles that launched with the Nintendo Switch, although it should be noted that the game is essentially an upgraded port from the Wii U version of the game. However it all worked out in Nintendo’s favor as fans didn’t really seem to mind. Now it looks like another Wii U port could be on its way.
In a report from Comic Book, it has been rumored that the New Super Mario Bros. U could also be finding its way onto the Switch in the future. The report claims that there were rumors about a port a few months ago ahead of E3 2018, so it’s not exactly new. Just like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which came with all the DLCs bundled from the Wii U port, the New Super Mario Bros. U is also expected to do the same.
This means that gamers can look forward to the game along with the New Super Luigi U DLC. However it also appears that this game won’t be a 100% port as there are plans to add some new content, although exactly what kind of content remains to be seen. No word on when the game will be announced, let alone released, but Nintendo did hint that the company would have more announcements for their fall lineup, so perhap we’ll learn more about the game then.
