It is widely expected that LG will be launching the LG V40 later this year, or possibly even at IFA 2018 which kicks off at the end of the week. So far according to a recent leak, renders of the LG V40 have revealed that the phone is expected to be pack a triple camera setup, making the LG V40 one of the few smartphones today with a triple camera (the Huawei P20 Pro was the first).
Now thanks to a tweet by @OnLeaks, he has shared some renders of the handset created for Slashleaks which shows off the phone in all of its glory. It is unclear if these renders depict the actual handset, but they are consistent with what we had seen last week, so at the very least the rumors do corroborate each other.
Apart from the triple camera, the renders also seem to confirm the the LG V40 will be packing a notch at the top of its display. The notch also seems to be housing dual front-facing cameras, but whether or not this means facial recognition, we’ll just have to wait and see. However in terms of security, the fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone is still expected to remain.
One of the key features of the LG V-series was the secondary ticker display, but LG has since done away with it so for now we’re not sure what the LG V40 has going for it that sets it apart from other LG flagships or the competition, but like we said we’re sure that LG will probably let us know soon enough.
