If you thought that was a pretty cool feature, then you might be interested to learn that Lenovo/Motorola could be bringing it back. This is according to a tweet by Evan Blass in which a images of an Android desktop UI was spotted for a product called the “Moto ModBook”. This seems to be fairly recent as Blass points to the Z2-era wallpaper in the background.
Remember the Motorola Atrix lapdock? The concept may still have some life at Lenovo, where a graphic designer was apparently collaborating on an Android desktop UI/UX for a product referred to as the Moto ModBook (note the Z2-era wallpaper)… pic.twitter.com/zhnRLwavy7

This would suggest that someone at Lenovo could be interested in recreating the device, and based on the name, it would seem to allude to the possibility of this device being some kind of Moto Mod. Take it with a grain of salt for now because for all we know, this project could simply be exploratory or it might have been cancelled, so try not to get your hopes up just yet.
In the meantime what do you guys think of the idea? If Lenovo were to put out something like that, would that be a Moto Mod you might be interested in? Or do you think that there is a reason why such a concept never really took off to begin with?
