Dubbed the G502 HERO Gaming Mouse, for those who follow Logitech’s product announcements can probably guess what this entails. For those who don’t, basically Logitech has given the G502 mouse a new 16k DPI HERO sensor which is an acronym for High Efficiency Rated Optical.
According to Logitech, “Featuring an all-new lens and updated tracking algorithm to deliver ultra-precise tracking with no acceleration, smoothing or filtering over the entire DPI range, Logitech G’s revolutionary HERO 16K sensor is capable of exceeding 400 IPS and delivering 16,000 DPI tracking with pixel-precise accuracy.”
As for the mouse itself, the G502 HERO will feature 11 buttons, all of which are programmable through Logitech’s Gaming Software. There will also be an adjustable weight system that will allow users to add up to five 3.6g weights. As expected of a gaming mouse, there will be lighting involve which users can configure and personalize to their liking.
The overall design of the mouse will be maintained, along with its mechanical switch that was developed together with Omen, which has also been rated for 50 million presses. If this sounds like the mouse for you, Logitech will be selling the G502 HERO this coming October where it will be priced at $105.
