For those who can see the benefits of using ARM-based chipsets to power computers (such as being more energy efficient), you might be interested in Lenovo’s latest offering which comes in the form of the Yoga C630 WOS (Windows on Snapdragon). This is the company’s attempt at creating a WOS (Windows on Snapdragon) computer and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 850 chipset.
It will also feature the Snapdragon X20 LTE modem which means that in addition to being able to connect using WiFi, users have the option of using LTE (assuming they have an appropriate data plan). Speaking of the benefits of ARM-powered computers, Lenovo is boasting that the Yoga C630 WOS will be capable of offering up to 25 hours of local video playback on a single charge, so taking it with you to watch videos on long trips or flights should not be an issue.
Other features of the Yoga C630 WOS include a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display, will support up to 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and there will also be an integrated fingerprint reader for security purposes.
