LG is due to launch its second flagship smartphone of the year in the coming months. Several renders of the LG V40 have leaked online today and revealed some information about the upcoming device. It has a notch similar to that of the LG G7 as well as a triple camera system at the back.

A report earlier today suggested that LG is aiming to ship fewer than one million units of the LG V40 after it could only manage to ship around 1.5 million units of the LG V30. The LG G7, its first flagship smartphone of the year, also didn’t perform up to expectations.

That being said, LG is pushing forward with a full-fledged update for the V series. The notch itself is obscured by black bars, it’s an option that LG’s devices have. The shape and size is similar to that of the G7. The notch does have dual front-facing cameras. LG V40 will actually feature five cameras since it has a triple camera system at the back.

Today’s report also mentioned that this handset won’t be unveiled at IFA 2018. The company is believed to launch this device in October or November. LG has obviously said nothing about the LG V40 at this point in time.
