In a report out of Korea, it seems that Apple is expected to keep making LCD iPhones for the next couple of years. There have been some claims that suggested that this year could be the last year of the LCD iPhone, but the report out of Korea is now claiming that Apple is working on a new model that they will launch in 2019, meaning that we can expect to see at least one more LCD iPhone after 2018’s models.
In a way it’s not surprising as OLED production can take a while which is why Apple is said to have invested into LG Display to get their production up and running to meet Apple’s demands. These rumors cannot be confirmed at the moment so they’re probably best taken with a grain of salt for now.
That being said, Apple’s LCD iPhones have always looked great so even if Apple keeps churning out LCD iPhones, it wouldn’t necessarily be the worst thing, but what do you guys think? Would you be willing to buy an LCD iPhone if it meant it costs less than the OLED model?
