‘Google Coach’ Wearable Fitness Assistant Reportedly Being Developed

Google is increasingly utilizing the advancements that it has made in artificial intelligence to launch powerful new experiences. One such experience is said to be Google Coach. It’s an AI-powered health and wellbeing coach which will help train users to how to lead better lives.

The report mentions that it’s possible that Google might change the final name of this experience before its release but it’s said to have a lot of ideas in the pipeline already about how this service will move forward.

It will be more than just an activity tracker but will, nevertheless, be focused on helping users stay active. Google will leverage the data that it has on users to proactively provide health and fitness-related data. It will thus recommend workout routines, track progress, and even recommend alternatives for when the user misses a workout.

The Google Coach will reportedly help users track their nutrition and recommend healthy foods for them. It may even be able to generate a weekly meal plan and shopping list to make users’ lives easier.

Google may only launch this experience on Wear OS first but it may also be offered on smartphones at least in some diminished capacity even if the full version is limited to the company’s wearable devices.
