At Google I/O 2018 earlier this year, the company hinted that Assistant would be getting smarter home control features, and now a report from Droid-Life has revealed that Google is finally rolling it out. As you can see in the screenshots above, Google Assistant now provides users with controls that let you tweak the settings even further.
For example when you ask Google Assistant to adjust the brightness of a light, it will do just that. However Google Assistant on the phone will also provide users with a brightness slider so that users can make further adjustments on the fly without having to go through the process again.
For now it seems that the roll out of the feature is a bit limited as not all users are seeing it yet. However it is possible that it might be staggered so if you don’t see it yet, it should find its way to you in the next few days or the next week.
