Microsoft today confirmed that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG will be graduating from the Xbox Game Preview program next month. The Full Product Release (1.0) of PUBG will take place on September 4th, 2018. This marks the conclusion of the team’s efforts in Xbox Game Preview in which it worked with the community to regularly update and improve the PUBG experience for Xbox One.
PUBG will thus complete its progression from early-access beta to official full production on September 4th. It brings the Sanhok map that smaller than earlier maps and brings all-new weapons and vehicles. Dynamic weather changes will also be available on the Xbox One for the first time.
War Mode, a deathmatch-style battle royale gaming experience, will land on the Xbox One as well. Players will hunt each other in a static zone and respawn back in with a parachute and weapons if they’re killed. Teams will get points with kills and reviving teammates.
All achievements will be carried over from Xbox game Preview to Full Product Release. PUBG will also get in-game currency to purchase cosmetics. Event Pass: Sanhok will let players access more levels and missions in addition to permanent rewards on the map. More details about these products will be shared closed to September 4th.
