We have heard rumors suggesting that it could be a temporary exclusive to the upcoming Galaxy Note 9, but the folks at XDA have discovered more clues that indicate that not only could it be an exclusive to the Note 9, but also to other Samsung devices like the recently launched Galaxy Tab S4.
This is according to various strings and code within the Fortnite Mobile APK that was first discovered by XDA Junior Member thesbros. The APK provided clues and hints that the game could be launched for Samsung devices and that it could use Samsung’s own In-App Purchase SDK, indicating that the game could also be distributed via Samsung’s Galaxy Apps platform in addition to Epic’s own website.
Epic admitted that the cut that developers have to pay to Google is one of the reasons they want to bypass the Play Store, which suggests that in this case, maybe Samsung is waiving any rights to the cuts of the game, at least for now, so that they can nab a temporary exclusive. In any case if this is true, we might hear more on the 9th of August which is when Samsung is expected to officially announce the Galaxy Note 9.
