Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Gets Xbox Backward Compatibility


With backward compatibility, game developers are capable of bringing their Xbox 360 titles to the Xbox One. Dozens of games have been brought to the Xbox One through backward compatibility and the list continues to grow. There has been much demand for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by the community and fans of the title will now be delighted to know that they can start playing this game on the Xbox One as well.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 backward compatibility with Xbox One has been confirmed today. Xbox Live’s Director of Programming Larry Hryb has confirmed on Twitter today that one of the best Call of Duty games ever made is now backward compatible on the Xbox One.

If that’s not enough good news for you, it gets better, The title is immediately available so Xbox One owners can start playing Modern Warfare 2 on their console right now. The title is also on sale this week so that those who don’t own it can pick it up and save some money in the process.

All of the title’s DLC will be playable in the backward compatibility version as well but players will be required to have purchased the DLC. The game itself was originally released back in 2009 and has long been regarded as one of the best Call of Duty games ever made.
