ASUS ZenBook 13, 14, 15 Laptops Announced

#IFA18 – Laptops come in varying shapes and sizes, but given that for the most part people choose laptops for their portability and mobility, factors like size and weight are important considerations. For those shopping about for a new laptop, ASUS might have several that you could be interested in.

Announced at IFA 2018, the company has taken the wraps off three new laptops in the form of the ZenBook 13, 14, and 15. According to ASUS, these will be the first laptops in the ZenBook series to feature the use of a four-sided frameless NanoEdge display that offers up a 95% screen-to-body ratio.

While this will create a more visually appealing design, there is also an added benefit in which it will allow for a smaller chassis which also reduces the overall size and weight.

As their names imply, the main difference between these laptops would be in their display size, where they will come in 13.3-inch, 14-inch, and 15.6-inch sizes respectively. They will also all sport a similar resolution of 1920×1080, save for the ZenBook 15 which can be configured to sport a 4K 3820×2160 display.

Under the hood they are all also powered by either the Intel Core i5-8265U processor, or can be configured with an Intel Core i7-8565U processor if you need more power. There will also be support for up to 16GB of RAM, along with discrete GPU options where the ZenBook 13 and 14 will come with the GeForce MX150, while the ZenBook 15 will offer the GeForce GTX 1050.

In addition to these hardware features, the laptops will also offer an advanced 3D infrared camera that will help provide hands-free login with Windows. There will also be voice-recognition capabilities that will allow users to launch Alexa or Cortana, an LED-illuminated trackpad (for the 13-inch and 14-inch models).

To top it off, the laptops have also been designed to meet MIL-STD-810G military standards, making them durable devices that you can take with you on the go. Pricing and availability have yet to be determined.
