Apple has recently confirmed that on the 12th of September, they will be hosting an event. The company does not mention what exactly will be announced, but it’s safe to assume that it will be about their new iPhones. It is also expected that the event will see Apple launch a new Apple Watch, which now thanks to 9to5Mac, an official render of the device has been shared.
According to 9to5Mac, this is an official image and not a mockup, meaning that it could be one of the images that Apple plans to use to market the Apple Watch on its website or in ads. Based on the render’s design we have to say that it certainly looks that way. According to the rumors, the Apple Watch Series 4 is expected to a sport a larger display, but it’s hard to tell from this render and angle.
However the render does seem to show that the Apple Watch Series 4 will be getting a new watch face (it is possible that it could be part of watchOS 5). As you can see, this face will show considerably more information than what can be shown right now. We’re not sure if this will be an exclusive to the Series 4 thanks to its larger display.
There is also a hole in between the side button and the Digital Crown which has been speculated to be an additional microphone. Either way we’ll have to wait and see, but we’re only a couple of weeks off from the official announcement so we won’t have to wait too long.
